Three of our students have been nominated as the best apprentices for the 2022/2023 academic year. 13. November Ryan Sandberg
Three of our students - Rita Miljand, Gabriel Küttimaa and Mihail Enachi - have been nominated for the title of best apprentice for the academic year 2022/2023, awarded by the Confederation of Estonian Employers.
Rita Miljand completed her apprenticeship in the 3rd course of the cook's speciality at Viljandi Vocational Training Centre in the academic year 2022/2023 and also apprenticed at the Estonian Resort Hotel & Restaurant NOOT.
The apprenticeship featured:
Chef apprentice duties, and hospitality supervision. Rita completed all of her work in an exceptional and timely manner. As for professional hospitality service in the restaurant, the trainees were punctual and on time whilst working under her, and if anything was not understood while doing the tasks, Rita was able to clarify and point them in the right direction.
Mihail Enachi completed his apprenticeship at VMT Betoon AS as a 2nd year student of Stone and Concrete Structures Construction specialty at Viljandi Vocational Training Centre in the academic year 2022/2023.
Overview of the apprenticeship:
Mihail's work ethic stood out - it was obvious that he did not come to the apprenticeship "just to sit around" and whenever the tasks were given, he completed them satisfactorally. He always asked what else needed to be done and took a keen interest in concrete; wanting to know why certain elements needed to be made to a particular strength class and what exactly these different strength classes meant. He had a great interest in what he was doing and often asked specific questions and also suggested his own solutions. Mihail was eager to learn, full of energy and ready to act. After the internship they invited him to work at VMT Concrete!
Gabriel Küttimaa completed his apprenticeship in Viljandi Vocational Vocational Training Centre in 2022/2023 as a student of the 3rd course of the IT systems junior specialist speciality at Cleveron AS.
Overview of the internship:
During the IT Specialist and Technical Support Specialist internship, Gabriel stood out for taking initiative. When he noticed a shortcoming in the documentation, he immediately reported it and set about correcting it. He was always able to see the big picture - a very important attribute in the context of technical failures, which helps to quickly identify the root cause of the problem and find a solution immediately. As an apprentice, he wasn't bogged down in the details and the fault was resolved quickly and correctly; as a result the company's customers and partners were very satisfied with the work done. He was also a very good communicator, having no problems with tasks that required gathering information from different parties. Tasks were always completed on time (if not before) and Gabriel did not need constant supervision. The feedback from the whole team on the trainee was also very positive and they would be happy to see him working there in the future.
Congrtulations to all of our apprentices!
